Jakarta, Agung Intiland News - Amid the increasing intensity of rain that has been hitting the Jabodetabek area and its surroundings in the past few weeks, Laksana Business Park ensures that the industrial and warehouse area under its management remains safe, free from floods, and supports the smooth operation of business for tenants.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) previously stated that most parts of Indonesia have entered the peak period of the rainy season, with the potential for moderate to heavy rain accompanied by extreme weather. BMKG emphasizes the importance of infrastructure preparedness, especially drainage systems and water runoff control, to minimize the risk of inundation and floods in residential and industrial areas.
"High rainfall can potentially cause hydrometeorological impacts, including inundation and floods, especially in areas with suboptimal water management systems. Therefore, infrastructure readiness is a key factor in facing the rainy season," stated BMKG in its official release.
In line with this, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) also urges all stakeholders, including industrial area managers, to enhance mitigation measures and environmental management during the rainy season. BNPB emphasizes that prevention efforts through infrastructure planning and maintenance are far more effective than post-disaster response.
"BNPB encourages area managers to ensure proper functioning of drainage systems, clear water channels, and maintain the environment to reduce the risk of floods that may disrupt economic activities," stated BNPB.
Amidst these weather challenges, Laksana Business Park affirms that the area has been designed since the early planning stages with a well-organized drainage system, integrated, and adequately capacitated to manage rainwater flow. This system is supported by elevation planning, internal water channel networks, and periodic maintenance programs to ensure optimal water flow during heavy rainfall.
"The rainy season poses an annual challenge for industrial areas. Therefore, we ensure that the water management system functions optimally so that tenant operational activities can continue smoothly without disruptions due to inundation," said a representative of Laksana Business Park.
With the support of this infrastructure, logistics, distribution, and industrial operations within the area continue to run normally even with high-intensity rainfall. This certainty is a crucial factor for businesses that require operational stability and supply chain continuity.
In addition to the drainage system, the area is also equipped with internal roads designed for heavy vehicles, controlled environmental management, and professional area management standards. This combination of infrastructure strengthens the area's resilience against rainy season risks.
By ensuring the area remains flood-free, Laksana Business Park reaffirms its commitment as a modern industrial area resilient to climate challenges, while providing business certainty for investors and industrial players in the Tangerang region and its surroundings. (JP)
